Hi,
I was looking for an RFID reader that is handheld and has a read range of 5-10ft. The battery life also needs to last at least a couple hours. I'm looking to use this with passive tags.

I'd also recommend Tracient Technologies. They make a ruggedized reader that is small, light weight, long battery life, and works with exactly the specs I believe your looking for. There a New Zealand Company and we've had great success with their product line.
