| RFID for Wireless Telecommunication Asset Tracking |
| by Raynald |
We are looking to implement a tracking solution for a widespread area in Indonesia. There are more than 20,000 Base Transmission System sites and few thousands Switching sites spread around several islands in Indonesia. For each site, there are more than 40 assets to be tracked.
We are planning to use RFID solution instead of Barcode to let the tagging mechanism more manageable. The RFID has to connect both to Oracle Asset Tracking as well as Network Management System (for network equipment detail attributes). Process of assigning RFID into unassigned RFID card has to happen on the field of construction because equipment (before installation complete) most of the time moves to other places before it is considered "on-air"
The ultimate benefit is to have a Asset Central Monitoring Center in the head office which allow our client to know exactly the position and the status of their assets.
Please consider also the economical ways of doing this, and further discussion on the project will follow through.
Thanks
