Florida Venture Forum Announces Presenting Companies for 15th Annual Venture Capital Conference

Twenty-five private high growth Florida-based companies have seen selected to present at the 2006 Florida Venture Capital Conference, sponsored by the Florida Venture Forum and scheduled for Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, 2006 at the Sawgrass Marriott Resort & Spa in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.

"The Conference continues to attract companies with strong potential and good representation across the state," says John Igoe, partner with Edwards, Angell, Palmer & Dodge LLP and Florida Venture Capital Conference co-chair. "These companies are looking forward to achieving similar success to last year's presenters. Of the 19 companies that presented at last year's conference, 14 received funding, attracting more than $80 million in capital."

* Proximities, Inc. ( http://www.proximities.com ), Melbourne: Develops and markets applications for its GO RFID wristband, which allows venue and entertainment patrons to quickly and securely gain access to restricted areas, purchase concessions without cash and verify their age.

* SkyCross ( http://www.skycross.com ), Melbourne: Designs, develops and manufactures next-generation RF and antenna technology for cellular, WLAN, UWB, GPS and mobile video markets.

* XStream Systems, Inc. ( http://www.xstreamsystems.net ), Vero Beach: Provides revolutionary material identification equipment for the public security markets such as aviation, law enforcement and military.
