Hypercom Corporation announced that Total Merchant Services, Inc., one of the industry's fastest growing privately held Independent Sales Organizations (ISO), has agreed to purchase 20,000 Optimum T4100 multi-application card payment terminals for its precedent setting free terminal program. In conjunction with the multi-million dollar deal, Total Merchant Services has also selected Hypercom as its preferred supplier of card payment terminals.

"This agreement represents the largest single order to-date for the T4100, and the latest in a series of significant purchases and processor certifications for this best-of-breed device," said Lisa Shipley, Senior Vice President, National Sales, Hypercom Corporation. "Total Merchant Services decision to team with Hypercom is particularly gratifying, and a terrific endorsement of our company and our products."

Because of the advanced functionality of Hypercom's high-speed, high-security IP-enabled payment device, Total Merchant Services has selected the T4100 for use in its new "Sell, Lease or Place" Free Terminal Program. Launched this month, the program sets Total Merchant Services apart from its competitors as the first major ISO to adopt the 32-bit, multi-application, IP-enabled dual-comm terminal - the Hypercom T4100 for a free terminal program. The T4100 units will be configured to support credit, debit, EBT, gift card and loyalty card transactions as well as check conversion and guarantee for Total Merchant Services merchants.

"We are committed to providing our sales partners and merchants with the very best products, services and support," said Edward K. Freedman, President/CEO of Total Merchant Services. "The T4100 is a superior product, and we are raising the bar in the industry by offering this innovative device through our free terminal program."

Under the "Sell, Lease or Place" Free Terminal Program, sales partners can choose two options to sell or lease the Hypercom T4100: Option

1 - Hypercom T4100 with dual IP/dial connectivity. Option 2 - Hypercom T4100 with dual dial/IP connectivity and MagTek Check Imager.

"With the placement option, sales partners can put their residual commissions on steroids by 'placing' these terminals at merchant locations for free," says Freedman. "In addition, to off-set the loss of money from not selling or leasing the terminal, they can earn $200 production bonuses or between $300-$500 in upfront conversion bonus payments on accounts currently processing over $10,000 per month. No matter what our sales partners opt to participate in, we believe it's imperative for them to have choices. That's why we're letting our sales partners decide what will work best for them - sell, lease or place the terminal at the merchant location for free-and we're offering the most modern, state-of-the-art, multi-app, dual-comm terminal in the market today."
