NCR Corporation announced that DEPCO Systems, a Saudi company specializing in telecommunications and information technology systems integration, has been named an NCR RealPartner and reseller for the NCR TransitionWorks AIDC software platform.
Headquartered in Jeddah, DEPCO serves clients in Saudi Arabia and other parts of the Middle East region. DEPCO's portfolio includes RFID solutions designed to help efficiently manage supply chain operations, increase security, improve efficiency and reduce operational expenditures - providing an attractive return on investment.
"We conducted rigorous research to determine the RFID middleware best suited to our solutions," said DEPCO Systems Chief Operating Officer Edwin Chikhani. "The result was unanimous agreement within our organization that NCR, with the NCR TransitionWorks software platform, is best positioned to support our efforts now and in the future."
DEPCO Systems plans to introduce at the end of 2007 the first RFID solution developed in Saudi Arabia - using NCR TransitionWorks. The solution will initially be marketed to DEPCO clients in the jewelry business and the banking sector.
The open architecture of NCR TransitionWorks will enable DEPCO Systems to fully integrate its RFID application and hardware into a homogeneous system that can be customized to operate across multiple market segments.
