Vangard Voice Systems Inc. announced it has entered into an agreement with Ingram Micro Inc., the world's largest technology distributor, to distribute its AccuSpeech technology through the Ingram Micro Data Capture/POS Division, a leading distributor of automatic identification/data capture (AIDC), mobile computing and point-of-sale (POS) products. Under the agreement, Ingram Micro will market Vangard Voice Systems' innovative voice-directed data input and control technology for mobile data collection applications to independent software vendors (ISVs), solutions integrators and value-added resellers (VARs).

"Our AccuSpeech technology replaces cumbersome manual data input with a natural, voice-directed data-collection and control capability. By substituting machined keystrokes, scanners and stylus with the personal power of the human voice, we're boosting field worker productivity, control and safety while improving the accuracy of data input," said Bob Bova, chief executive officer, Vangard Voice Systems. "Our distribution agreement with Ingram Micro is a natural extension of our channel strategy to deliver reliable, high-productivity voice-directed data capture technology to a broad spectrum of mobile data collection markets. Ingram Micro's concentrated focus on mobile and data capture solutions will put our technology into the hands of mobile application vendors and resellers faster."

Vangard Voice Systems' AccuSpeech technology is the only comprehensive solution offering fast and easy-to-use voice development tools, Voice-Intelligent Middleware, Dynamic Content Management and Voice Input Confirmation. With AccuSpeech mobile solutions resellers and integrators can leverage a robust voice-enabling solution that more than matches the rigor required for today's business-class mobile data collection applications. AccuSpeech technology provides an easy, wizard-based voice studio that speeds development; patented, client-based Voice-Intelligent Middleware that transforms voice into data; automated on-the-fly change management; data confirmation capabilities to optimize input accuracy; and a variety of mobile deployment options on PDAs, smart phones, tablet PCs or laptops.

"The market outlook for mobile voice technology is strong, particularly in vertical segments such as mobile inspections, supply chain, logistics and inventory management. Vangard Voice Systems offers Ingram Micro business partners the chance to significantly enhance their existing mobile data collection applications by empowering them with voice enablement," said John Soumbasakis, vice president and general manager, Ingram Micro Data Capture/POS Division. "By offering Vangard's AccuSpeech technology, we are expanding our line card of complete solutions and extending our customers' sales and service opportunities."

Ingram Micro business partners can leverage AccuSpeech to quickly add voice-directed data capture to their existing applications, improve market competitiveness, realize increased incremental revenue from new and existing customers and extend the lifecycle of existing solutions. AccuSpeech can deliver voice input capabilities for new and existing applications across a variety of markets including supply-chain management, logistics, mobile inspections, public safety, healthcare, insurance, hospitality, utilities and government applications.
