The Board of Directors of TAGSYS, the leading provider of item-level RFID ("Radio Frequency Identification") systems, announced the appointment of veteran technology leader Bill Stuek as the company's Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. As CEO, Mr. Stuek succeeds Elie Simon who is leaving the company to pursue other interests. Mr. Stuek will serve as both Chairman and CEO of TAGSYS.

"I'm excited to lead TAGSYS through the next chapter of their impressive growth," said Stuek.

"TAGSYS has a well-defined leadership position in RFID and is poised to continue its growth by expanding the adoption of RFID in a number of new industries. We thank Elie for his leadership of TAGSYS over the last two years and wish him well in his next venture."

Bill Stuek has served as Director, Chairman and CEO of several private and public companies in the United States , Europe and Asia . He is a 30 year veteran of IBM where he served in a number of senior executive roles in both sales and product development. Most recently, Mr. Stuek was the Managing Director of CCMP Capital.
