BlueStar, the leading innovator in solutions-based distribution for Auto ID, Point-of-Sale, Mobility, and RFID products announced the promotion of Ryan Girvin to the position of BlueStar Vice President and Corporate Controller. It was announced by Doug Bivins, Vice President of Finance. In his new post, Girvin will oversee the financial reporting activities worldwide, including accountability for the development of financial strategies to support the organizational goals in the Americas and Europe.

Preceding this promotion, Girvin served as Corporate Controller, a post he occupied throughout the 2007 acquisition of BlueStar Europe. In 2004, while charged with leading the accounting department in a cooperative implementation of BlueStar's ERP system, Girvin simultaneously supported the BlueStar expansion to Latin America. His tenure at BlueStar began in 2001 as Controller where he performed merger and acquisition assignments, various audit-related duties, provided oversight to the accounting teams, and managed process improvement. In addition to the eight years of dedication to BlueStar, Mr. Girvin previously served four years at a public accounting firm in Cincinnati, OH.
