Invengo Technology Corporation, one of the world?s largest RFID manufacturers, follows its European launch at the ID World International Congress in Milan, with the announcement that it has formed a distribution agreement with Miles Technologies of Barcelona, Spain.

The agreement means that Miles Technologies will be the sole distributor of Invengo?s full range of RFID inlays, tags, smart cards, and readers throughout France, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey and some other countries from Eastern and Northern Europe.

"I have known the people at Miles for some time and am now very pleased that this is the company that will represent Invengo products, in what is one of our key trading regions," said Philip Calderbank, Invengo's VP of Sales &

Marketing.

"Our goal is to bring innovative RFID products and best prices to Systems Integrators and Value Added Resellers across Southern Europe," said Ignasi Barba, founder and CEO of Miles Technologies. "We chose to work with Invengo as we know that they have a vast amount of product design experience, and with their manufacturing plants in China, we can expect to be able to offer very competitive pricing. In addition we aim to be able to ship most products within 1/3 days, and that will allow for our resellers to maintain minimum stocking levels."

Earlier this year Invengo announced that UKCoding of Bradford, England will be the distributor for Ireland, the UK and parts of Northern Europe.

"With this agreement, Invengo is able to offer local support across the whole of Europe, and we see a tremendous outlook for the RFID business as we look to offer a range of products and pricing that will be very new for this region," added Philip Calderbank.

New Jewelry Tag for High Value Tracking

Invengo supports this announcement with the release of its new UHF EPC Gen 2 Class 1 XCRF-8108-C04 Jewelry Tag, which is brought to the European and world market for the individual tracking of jewelry and other high value items.

This unique read/write tag contains an Impinj Monza 3 chip and is designed to wrap around finger rings and other items of jewelry. It gives a 1.2m read range and is fully rewriteable, allowing for reuse in various multiple jewelry item tracking applications. Dimensions: 91.6*12.5*0.15mm. Memory: 96-bit EPC: 32-bit TID.
