InvoTech Systems, Inc., provider of hotel systems for efficient operations, recently announced that the world-class Hotel Bel-Air in Beverly Hills, California will install InvoTech's GIMS Uniform System inventory software and SAMS Security System.
InvoTech will provide the GIMS and SAMS software and all related equipment. In addition, InvoTech will provide onsite installation and training services, and 24-hour customer support. The new uniform inventory tracking and security systems will be fully operational prior to the Hotel Bel-Air's grand re-opening on October 14, 2011. European elegance meets advanced wireless uniform tracking

With our grand re-opening after a two-year renovation project, we will rely on the most advanced InvoTech technology for security and operating efficiency," said Marcus Mueller, director of rooms for the renowned hotel. Mueller noted that there is no reason today to manually sort and record uniform activity; "GIMS technology takes this burden off property staff and frees our people to spend more time in service to guests and other staff." InvoTech has extensive experience with hotel grand openings. InvoTech staff will assist with uniform fittings, and UHF-RFID tracking tags will be sewn into the uniforms when they are altered for specific employees. The uniforms will be processed through GIMS to track alterations and which uniforms are issued to each employee. Upon Hotel Bel-Air's re-opening, specialized UHF-RFID reading stations allow GIMS to automatically track uniforms as they move to and from employees and the laundry.
Security essential to Hotel Bel-Air guest safety
Guest safety is a priority for Hotel Bel-Air and the impetus behind implementation of InvoTech's SAMS security management system. "Our SAMS Security System will provide Hotel Bel-Air with efficient solutions for Key Tracking, Visitor Logs, Dispatch Logs, Incident Reports, Lost & Found, and Lockers & Locks. SAMS manages all aspects of Security Department operations from a single system," said Jeff Welles, vice president of InvoTech. "The Security Department staff will be trained by InvoTech and SAMS will be in full operation before the grand re-opening on October 14." SAMS Security System manages a variety of important security department responsibilities within one streamlined application. SAMS uses barcodes, RFID, biometrics, ID or driver's license scanning, and electronic signature capture to facilitate and validate all activities. The system maintains paperless records and eliminates time-consuming storage and retrieval of documents and log books.
