Revere Security, the world's leading Edge Security provider, announced that it had been selected as a SINET 16 innovator. During the 2011 SINET Showcase at the National Press Club in Washington D.C., Revere Security's CTO, Dr. Daniel Engels, discussed how the company secures extremely small microprocessors that enable devices such as smart meters, industrial controllers, automotive in-vehicle systems and even passive RFID tags. Revere Security, initially founded through US Department of Homeland Security grants, offers a cryptographic suite of products that specifically protects small, resource-constrained microprocessors.

Supported by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Science & Technology Directorate, Security Innovation Network (SINET) initiatives are designed to advance innovation and enable collaboration between the public and private sectors to effectively address global cyber security threats. More than 100 emerging technology companies applied and were thoroughly vetted in a two-stage process by the SINET Showcase Steering Committee for the opportunity to present innovative and potentially disruptive cyber security solutions to an audience of representatives from defense, homeland security, intelligence and civilian federal agencies as well commercial, investment and research communities. Revere Security was one of sixteen companies presenting on stage.

"We are honored and excited to have been selected for the prestigious annual SINET showcase," commented Rick Stephenson, CEO of Revere Security. "It is a testimony to the growing need for Edge Security as much as a validation of our Hummingbird HB-2 technology. Companies across many diverse industries are beginning to understand that their least protected devices, ranging from smart meters to industrial controllers and RFID tags, are often the easiest path to entry for attackers. Revere Security offers a level of protection that is unparalleled to date through encryption and authentication of data as well as mutual authentication of devices and networks for small, resource-constrained devices. We are honored to have been given the opportunity to present our innovative technology at the prestigious SINET showcase."
