KOBIL Technologies recently announced that the KOBIL mIDentity App Security Toolkit (AST) has been named a finalist in the Cyber Security and Authentication category for the 2012 TechAmerica Foundation American Technology Awards (ATAs). The ATAs cross the technology industry recognizing technology products and services and winners will be announced at the Technology and Government gala dinner in Washington, D.C. June 13, 2012.

mIDentity AST is a software development kit which secures any online mobile application and protects mobile users from malicious attacks. With this toolkit, KOBIL is leveraging its military grade security technology to help app developers, and organizations that use apps as portals for secure online transactions protect these transactions against cybercrime and unauthorized access. Additionally, mIDentity AST protects against the duplication of apps from dedicated devices, while preventing app manipulation and the creation of fake applications.

The awards, also known as the "Termans" in honor of the widely credited father of Silicon Valley, are awarded on the basis of a thorough evaluation by industry experts and technology leaders. Kevin Johnson, CEO of Juniper Networks, will also be honored during the dinner with the American Technology Awards Corporate Leadership Award, and Department of Homeland Security Chief Information Officer Richard Spires will be recognized as the Government Technology Executive of the Year.
