National Retail Systems, Inc. (NRS), a leading provider of global logistics services to U.S. retailers and manufacturers, has been named a Top 100 Great Supply Chain Partner for 2012 based on a survey of U.S. logistics customers.
SupplyChainBrain's 10th annual list of 100 Great Supply Chain Partners is the result of a six-month online poll in which supply chain professionals were asked to nominate vendors and service providers whose solutions have made a significant impact on their company's efficiency, customer service and overall supply chain performance.
"Nominations were received for hundreds of trading partners in every aspect of supply chain management. Our compliments to National Retail Systems on making this select list of 100 companies who received the most qualified nominations," said Brad Berger, Publisher of SupplyChainBrain.
One of the companies that nominated NRS for the recognition is a leading nationwide automotive retailer. NRS has helped to increase network efficiency for the company with a 96% backhaul utilization level, significant network mileage reductions and conversion of vendor freight from 40% to 70% of total cost of goods sold.
"We are honored to be part of this impressive list, particularly because this recognition comes directly from our customers," said Francis Walsh III, Executive Vice President for NRS. "We continue to implement new technologies and processes that strengthen our relationships and drive economic success for our customers."
