After introducing their revolutionary solution to the hotel industry several years ago Linen Technology Tracking, LLC. is proud to announce receiving Notice of Allowance from the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

The company's patent: The Method and System of Tracking Hotel Linen Products was originally filed September 29, 2008. Linentracker(R) is a turn-key solution utilizing RFID technology to track and monitor hotel linen assets.

In the hospitality industry, one of the largest expenses of room occupancy is linen supplies. Hotels are operating without knowing the true cost of these supplies and with limited control of inventories that shrink because of theft, laundry damage and normal wear and tear. Linentracker(R) provides the needed control by monitoring these movable assets as they travel throughout the property.

The linentracker(R) patented solution integrates passive UHF Radio Frequency Identification technology with high performance custom SMARTtags (Gen2) that withstand over 550 cycles in commercial washing, drying and pressing.

Customized cloud based software is the engine that accounts for all item specific SMARTtags and shows their location and history in real time. This information can be accessed on a property specific secure web based linentracker(R) dashboard or simply pushed via email or SMS text message to hotel management. As a result, hotel management will be able to record the current loss, age of their inventory and real-time inventory counts. This information will assist properties and provide specific quality controls to make sure the room presentation is consistent across specific brand standards, ultimately enhancing the guest experience.

Early adopter properties have proven the linentracker(R) solution enables hotels to streamline the flow of expensive linen and other assets. These properties have seen firsthand how linentracker(R) will greatly improve linen utilization, reduce costs, and increase their ability to meet guest satisfaction goals. "We believe the patent protected linentracker(R) solution will revolutionize how linen is managed in the hospitality environment. Taking greater control of inventories, purchasing products more effectively and reducing costs all around," said William Serbin, Executive Vice President, linentracker(R).
