What readers do I need?

Readers, like tags, requires the customer supply chain solution be studied to determine the type and quantity of readers required. For example, If the solution required is managing the case or item inventory as it moves in and out of the warehouse, readers might be attached to the loading dock doors where they sense movement of product in and out of the warehouse. If the solution was to manage inventories as they are delivered to a particular customer readers may be not only in the warehouse but on the truck as the product is moved in and out for receipt and delivery of the product. For an out of stock application on the retail shelf a fixed device or a handheld device may be appropriate depending on whether automatic out of stock notification, or easier inventory counting is your business requirement.
